Thank you, HAND/EYE for bringing Ben Venom's incredible quilt work to my attention.

Initially drawn in by the intense colors and imagery, the moment I found out they were all made from recycled textiles, I fell in love. There is almost nothing I love more than recycling and reclaiming old fabric to make something new and these quilts just raised the bar a little.

Using fabric and leather scraps either donated or from his own personal wardrobe, Ben creates graphically stunning quilts based on tattoo flash, biker and occult imagery (just to name a few). HAND/EYE magazine did a great interview with him exploring some of his process, inspiration and artistic journey.
