WHAT I MADE / halloween card series (part 5)

Happy Halloween!

We’ve finally reached the conclusion of my Halloween Card Series. The final installment features the card/flip book I made for my dear friend Esther.

Something I will apply year-round is the use of cupcake liners when making rosettes. I especially like the look of them when they're a little chopped up and fringe-y.

I credit Esther a lot with helping me get back into paper crafting and she always sends me the most amazing mail!  I had to make her something extra special. This card is so huge, I hesitate to even call it a card.

I love all the black and white and gold for Halloween. It feels modern and vintage at the same time.

There are 4 envelope pages within a giant envelope that all flip out to reveal different pockets of goodies and a letter.

I bought these vintage Halloween cut-aparts from my local scrapbook shop. They're from the Authentique "Mysterious" Collection. I love the texture and quality of the paper too, it feels really luxurious.

Other papers used: Michael's Boo! Collection, random sheets of stripes and polka dots from Joanns and Hobby Lobby.

The flip book card fully unfolded to reveal all pockets!

Something I learned during the process, I definitely did not keep things flat enough! I like to add in a lot of dimension and I quickly learned that that doesn’t work to your advantage if you expect to actually CLOSE the thing. Ha! I’m lucky the damn thing even closed at all.

My first time filling out any sort of mail "tag". I just wrote down some of my favorite Halloween stuff.

I had so much fun making cards and flip books for my friends this year.

Did you send or make any Halloween cards? Tell me below!

And if you by chance missed the other Halloween Card Series posts, you can find them here: (one, two, three, and four).

XOXO
Shannon
